Which posts can be edited or re-generated?

In your plan, Alkai will first generate a post Idea which, when generated, will then turn into a post Draft which you can preview, edit and share. Each post status has its own properties which define how it can be handled.

First, in the calendar under the Plan tab you will see Ideas. An Idea is not a post yet - instead, it’s an outline of what your post will look like, which Alkai creates based on your brand and marketing strategy. By clicking “Edit” on an Idea, you will be able to edit the most basic properties: you can re-generate an idea (if you want Alkai to rethink the idea of the post), change the format of the future post and review its social media goal (whether it’s engagement maximization, promotion of the brand etc.).

If you are satisfied with the Idea and its direction, click on “Generate” to turn the Idea into a Draft. A Draft is a ready-made post which Alkai prepares based on the idea for the day, while taking into account your branding and social marketing goals. As this is basically a ready-to-share post, you can share it right away with the “Share” button. Once a post has been shared, it will then show in the “Completed” status, which will allow you to reshare it anytime in the future (and you can also use the Duplicate button on such posts to create a new draft based on that post which you can edit and share as a new post). If instead of sharing, you scheduled it for later, the post will be displayed as “Scheduled” and you’ll be able to either unschedule or reschedule it through the respective buttons.
