The Plan is where you can see post ideas and drafts, completed, and scheduled posts for the current and following weeks.
By design, Alkai plans only two weeks at a time (the current week and the following week).
At the end of the current week, Alkai will extend your plan an additional week so you always have post ideas for the current and following week.
Alkai Plans one idea for each of your posting days of the week.
The Post idea card will reveal the title and post format of the idea.
Every posting day, Alkai will draft your Post Idea at 9:00am.
Clicking the down arrow on the header of this card or the EDIT button will expand the post idea for you to edit.
When you review your plan, it's possible that you'll want to make changes to a Post Idea. On the Post Idea card click the EDIT button to make changes.
Post Idea Title: You can modify the Post Idea text to change the idea for any planned post. We recommend being very specific with your new idea, ensuring Alkai has enough context to make a great post. You can also click the Generate new idea link if you want Alkai to develop something different.
Post format: Alkai assigns different post formats based on your format and social channel preferences. You can modify the format for any Post Idea by clicking on the currently assigned format in the card. For each post format, you'll see which networks are recommended; you can have confidence that you're delivering the right message with the best format.
Once a post is drafted, you cannot change the format of the post.
Alkai will only plan one post idea for each posting day of the week (based on the days you selected in your Plan Settings).
Every day at 9:00am Alkai will draft your Post Idea and send you a text or email that it's ready to review.
If you want to work on Post Ideas for future dates, you can click the button GENERATE on the Post Idea. This will instantly create a draft for that idea and Alkai will notify you once the draft is completed. You can also draft every idea in a week by clicking the button Generate all planned post for the week. Alkai will draft each post idea for the week and notify you when all your posts are drafted.
Once a Post Idea has be drafted, it will appear in your Plan as a Post Draft. Clicking the arrow on the header will expand this card to reveal the post and the caption that was drafted. If you are satisfied with post you can SHARE to publish or download it directly or schedule it to be published to your social channels.
Once a post idea has been drafted, click on the header of the post to expand and preview the draft.
If you are happy with how it looks and the caption, click SHARE to complete the post.
If you want to make changes, add music, or try on different color/fonts styles and layouts click EDIT POST.

Any draft that you've shared will appear in your Plan as a Completed or Scheduled Post.
Completed Posts: Details about when the post was shared and which networks it was published too. Actions:
SHARE allows you to share to post again, either downloading to your device or to a different social network.
Scheduled Posts: Details about date & time the post will be published and the social networks if will be published too. Actions:
UNSCHEDULE will remove the schedule and revert the post back to a Draft.
RESCHEDULE allows you to modify which social networks to publish and/or choose a different date and time.
In addition to Post Ideas for your business, Alkai will generate Holiday posts to honor, celebrate, or recognize relevant major or social holidays. Holiday posts are a great way to engage with followers and maintain consistency and diversity in your social posting. Just like Post Ideas, you can generate Holiday posts in advance if you want to work ahead.
When you view your Plan, it's possible that the current or following week do not have post ideas - this occurs when a user hasn't visited the Alkai app in a while. In this scenario, you will see a EXTEND MY PLAN button below your Streak. Click this button and Alkai will start working on Post Ideas for all the empty posting days in your calendar. You'll receive a notification from Alkai when your Plan is ready.
Alkai is all about helping you stay consistent. When you complete a post for a week, Alkai celebrates it and you'll see this celebration at the top of your plan. Completing at least one post each week will extend your streak. If your at risk of losing a streak, Alkai will notify you to help keep your consistency rolling.
