Why Connect Your Accounts?
Connecting your social media accounts to Alkai unlocks the full potential of automated, custom content creation and posting. Alkai can:
Post directly to your business profiles on Facebook and Instagram.
Ensure consistent branding and content delivery across your accounts.
Help you save time by automating the posting process, so you can focus on growing your business.
What Accounts Can You Connect?
Alkai currently supports:
Facebook Business Pages
Instagram Business Accounts (linked to a Facebook Business Page)
TikTok Accounts
Other platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, and more are on the way!
Connecting Social Accounts
To connect a social media account, go to the SETTINGS menu and click on the link Social media accounts.
Note: You can only connect business accounts at this time. Personal Facebook or Instagram profiles are not supported for direct posting. You can continue to publish Alkai post to your other networks manually, when you download a post, Alkai will automatically copy the caption to your clipboard to make this manual upload quick and easy.
Facebook Business Page
Prepare Your Page
Before you connect Facebook to Alkai, make sure your business has a Facebook Business Page – If you don’t have one yet, you can create a Facebook Business Page by going to Facebook’s Create a Page section.
Connect Facebook Page

- From the SETTINGS menu, click Connect under Social media accounts.
- On the list of social networks, click CONNECT next to Facebook Business Page
- A pop-up window/tab will appear*** with instructions to connect to your Facebook Personal Account.
*** If you do not see this pop-up it is likely due to a pop-up blocker. On mobile devices, go to your mobile web browser settings and disable pop-up blockers and try this step again. On desktop, go to your browser settings and disable pop-up blockers and try this step again.
The personal account you log-in with must be an Admin for the Facebook Business Page you want to connect. - After logging in, select the Facebook Business Page you want to connect.
- That's it! You're now connected and you'll be navigated back to the Social media account connection screen.
Instagram Business Account
Prepare Your Account
Before you connect Instagram, 1. confirm that your Instagram account is a Business Account – If your Instagram account is still personal, you can switch it to a business profile. and 2. Link your Instagram Business Account to your Facebook Business Page.
In the Instagram App, tap your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
Tap Edit profile
Tap Switch to professional account
Tap Continue
Select a Category for your business and tap Done
Continue with additional business setup
Instagram is Linked to Facebook – Instagram Business accounts must be linked to your Facebook Business Page. Go to Instagram’s settings under "Account" and make sure it’s linked to your Facebook Business Page. Please find more detailed instructions by going to these Meta help articles:

Even though you are connecting Instagram, you need to login with the personal Facebook account that is an admin to the linked Facebook Business Page for your Instagram Business Account. - After logging in, select your business's Instagram Account.
- That's it! You're now connected and you'll be navigated back to the Social media account connection screen.
TikTok

- From the SETTINGS menu, click Connect under Social media accounts.
- On the list of social networks, click CONNECT next to TikTok.
- A pop-up window/tab will appear*** with instructions to connect to your TikTok account.
*** If you do not see this pop-up it is likely due to a pop-up blocker. On mobile devices, go to your mobile web browser settings and disable pop-up blockers and try this step again. On desktop, go to your browser settings and disable pop-up blockers and try this step again.
If you are already logged into TikTok, you'll be immediately pushed to 4 in this process. - After logging in, confirm Alkai's access to post on your behalf.
- That's it! You're now connected and you'll be navigated back to the Social media account connection screen.

Troubleshooting Common Issues
If you’re having trouble connecting your accounts, here are a few things to check:
Pop-Up Blockers: Ensure that your browser allows pop-ups.
Using the Native browser in mobile apps like Facebook or Instagram: If you’re using Alkai through the web browser on the Facebook or Instagram mobile app,, you’ll need to select "Open in external browser" to connect your accounts.
Linked Accounts (Instagram): If Instagram isn’t showing up during the connection process, double-check that it’s correctly linked to your Facebook Business Page under Instagram settings.
Pop-Ups on Desktop: Pop-ups might appear behind your current window, so check for hidden tabs or windows after you click “Connect.”
Wrong Facebook Account when trying to Connect (Instagram and Facebook): If you're logged into the a Facebook personal account that is not an Admin of the Facebook Business Page, logout of Facebook before connecting Alkai and log back in with the correct account.
